As the owner of Design Build Boston Construction & Design Build Architects, Arick is dedicated to leading a team of highly motivated professionals in the field of construction and design. Arick's passion for the industry began at a young age, and he has always been driven to create a company where everyone enjoys working. After completing his Bachelor of Architecture degree at the Boston Architectural College, Arick's ambitions grew and he set his sights on building net-zero, multi-unit contemporary developments.

Arick has a wealth of experience in the industry, including serving as a Certified Passive House Builder and Design Build Manager for Group Design Build, where he was responsible for on-site coordination, 3D modeling, cost estimates, and project organization. In this role, Arick focused on implementing energy efficient building techniques, including Passive House construction. Arick has also worked as an Assistant Superintendent at Delphi Construction, where he monitored daily activities, ensured safety and compliance on job sites, and communicated with subcontractors to ensure adherence to schedules and specifications.

In addition to these roles, Arick has held positions as a Job Captain, Architectural Designer, and Clerk of the Works, where he was responsible for preparing detailed drawings and maintaining communication on various construction projects. Arick has also worked as a Construction Clerk for The Community Builders, where he oversaw quality control and communication on various construction projects, and as an Architectural Designer/Clerk of the Works for Davis Square Architects, where he was responsible for punch-listing, processing documents, and maintaining communication between contractors, clients, and project architects.

Arick's military service includes time spent in the United States Coast Guard, where he served for a total of 7 years. In addition to his professional experience, Arick is a Registered Architect in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island, and has completed a range of projects, including the complete renovation of a 2 unit condo in Watertown, a multi-family design project in Cape Cod with 9 units, and the design of a custom pool house addition in Duxbury. Arick's extensive experience and passion for the industry make him a valuable asset to any team.

Meet Maria Claudia Escobar Montalvo, a passionate designer and seasoned professional with 10 years of experience in the construction field. Hailing from Cartagena, Colombia, Maria's architectural journey began with her Bachelor's degree in architecture from Jorge Tadeo Lozano University, where her creative spirit took flight.

As an Architectural Drafter and Administrative Assistant at Design Build Architects, Maria's diverse skill set and infectious enthusiasm bring a fresh perspective to every project she undertakes. Her journey led her to pursue further studies, earning a Master's degree in Building Engineering from the esteemed Polytechnic University of Catalonia in Barcelona, Spain. With this well-rounded education, Maria combines her engineering insights with her design acumen, resulting in a seamless blend of form and function.

Throughout her career, Maria has been an instrumental force behind various architectural and engineering projects. Proficient in computer-aided drafting, 3D modeling, and rendering, she transforms visions into tangible, breathtaking structures. Her keen eye for detail extends to cost and budget analysis, ensuring every project is optimized for success.

With a visionary approach, Patrick spearheads our institutional construction endeavors, overseeing every aspect of our projects from inception to completion. Timothy Leary is a highly experienced construction professional with over 30 years of experience in the industry. He holds a number of key licenses, including an Unrestricted CSL, HIC, OSHA 10, Hoisting Engineer License, and Asbestos Supervisor’s License, which have enabled him to gain expertise in a range of fields, including project management, estimating, scheduling, and site supervision. Timothy has worked alongside architects, engineers, and building departments, and has a strong track record of meeting with clients, subcontractors, and site supervisors to discuss concerns, additional work, and materials needed, as well as coordinating with the Inspectional Services Department to schedule inspections for sites.

Throughout his career, Timothy has held a number of key positions in the construction industry, including Site Supervisor and Project Manager for Design Build Boston, General Contractor and Site Supervisor for TFL Construction Management, Site Supervisor and Project Manager for Boston Architect, Construction Inspector for AMEC Foster Wheeler/ERI, Site Supervisor for Boston Architect, Site Supervisor and Project Manager for Sarkis Development, Site Supervisor and Project Manager for National Management Team, President of TFL Carpentry, Site Supervisor and Project Manager for Lancer Contracting, President of TFL Carpentry, and Foreman, Lead Carpenter, and Project Manager for Intercontinental Development.

Timothy's experience has enabled him to work on a wide range of construction projects, including the demo and rebuild of a 3,000 sq foot new structure, the full interior gut and rehab of a two family house, inspections of ongoing construction projects with United States Post Offices, the construction of an oceanfront three unit high end condominium building, the demo and rebuild of a 12 unit burnout, the construction of a 17 unit new construction, the exterior rehab of a building, the roof repair of a $2.5 million building with structural steel, the fabrication and installation of a standing seam roof, kitchen and bath remodeling, commercial buildouts, the roof lift and addition of a second floor build out, foundation and utilities work for an addition, the demo and rebuild of a 120ft x 50 ft CMU structure with precast floor decks, and the mechanical build out of a 10-story office building.
